Hey it’s me! But who is this guy, you may ask. The name is Jorge Valadez, but you can also just call me George, and I like drawing, movies, series, video games, sneakers, fashion, food, cute aesthetic things, the Tokusatsu genre and frogs!. I’m also a Storyboard Artist.
Everything started when I was a clueless kid with a dream I didn’t know what it was, all I knew was that I wanted to draw cartoons and Pokémon and video games characters, and I was fascinated by this world of pictures that I just didn’t know how they were made and how they were moving and breathing so lively. But with time I understood something, I love creating and imagining stories, and I was fascinated by this concept of fictional characters connecting with audiences, making me cry with them and laugh with them. Move forward 20 years into the future and I finally learned the struggles of animation, I took a bachelor at the CEDIM university in Monterrey, Mexico on Design and Animation, where I was taught on all the different takes of the industry, 2D, 3D, video games, publicity etc. Once I graduated I took a bachelor focused on traditional animation at the Vancouver Film School where I graduated with my film Conchita’s Magical Bakery.
Since then, I’ve freelanced my way into the industry with all different kind of clients and animation studios including works for IPs like Star Wars Kids and DC Superheroes, to more older audiences projects like the upcoming series My Brother the Monster, an animated series collaboration between Canada and Mexico. My clients also include Peekabeans, Little Angel, and recently my first film job at an upcoming movie by Gasolina Studio, The Last Wave
Lastly from June 2024 to September 2025 I’ve been working as a Storyboard supervisor at Hornstromp Animation and Timmy Animation channel, reviewing and doing adjustments to many storyboard artists from Juniors to Seniors at my charge for their multiple animation channels, making sure good storytelling and camera work is represented. My strength and skills show off at emotional and action sequences whether you need your characters showing their ugly crying in a burst of emotions or the laugh and excitement of a beautiful moment, the roughness of a fighting sequence or even the subtlety of a quiet silence moment I will provide it and maybe even touch the heart of the audiences too!.
